About the Event

Join us for an exclusive startup event and networking evening designed to connect you with the local startup ecosystem, but also inspire you and help you navigate the complexities of scaling startups in China and Asia. This event is tailored for startup enthusiasts, founders, CXOs, investors, and professionals from the local and global startup ecosystem.

Keynote Speeches

Four dynamic keynote speeches, each 8 minutes long, focusing on innovation or trend-related topics. These are serial entrepreneurs, VCs, or other key figures of the local and global innovation ecosystem. 

Startup Pitches

Six local startups will each have 5 minutes to pitch their projects to the audience.

The startups will vie for the "Startup with Flair" award, with the three winners receiving a cash prize of 300, 200, and 100 RMB for the first, second, and third prizes.

There will be no judging panel; the audience will vote for the winners through a 10-minute voting session after all pitches.

Networking Session

Network with entrepreneurs, investors, and key figures in the startup community.

The evening will conclude with a networking session featuring free-flowing beer, soft drinks, and pizza.

This will provide ample opportunity for attendees to connect, share ideas, and discuss potential collaborations.

The Speaker

Mia Zheng

Deputy Head of Investment Promotion, InvestHK (Shanghai Office)

Ms. Mia ZHENG, Deputy Head of Investment Promotion of the Shanghai Office of Invest Hong Kong, has a wealth of experience in supporting different scales of Shanghai and Zhejiang enterprises to set up their presence in Hong Kong.  Her expertise is across traditional and emerging industries, particularly on life and health technology, artificial intelligence and data science, financial technology, and advanced manufacturing and new energy technology. Invest Hong Kong is the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government Department responsible for attracting and retaining foreign direct investment which is of strategic importance to the economic development of Hong Kong.  The Department works with overseas and Mainland entrepreneurs, SMEs, and multinationals that wish to set up an office – or expand their existing business – in Hong Kong.

Athena Wang

General Manager Sino-Austria Research Institute for Intelligent Industries (SINOAUS)

Athena is currently the general manager of Hangzhou Sporcland Information Technology Co., Ltd, and the vice general manager of SINOAUS (Sino-Austria Research Institute for Intelligent Industries). SINOAUS focuses on research and development of AI and machine learning technology in Industry 4.0, created Coovally Fabric - an intelligent, easy-to-use, and trusted AI platform for users at an affordable price, to help users quickly establish data-driven solutions based on machine learning, and empower customers to make reliable and accurate decisions.

David Wiehls

Head of Software and Relationship Management NeuroTX Aachen e.V.

David Wiehls, a German-Colombian mechanical engineer graduated from RWTH Aachen University. Since 2021, leading a startup company in the field of brain-computer interfaces. Serving as the Chinese partner for the g.tec Neurotechnology SpringSchool

Xiaobo (Jack) Li

Global Sales and Marketing Director SinceVision

Jack Li is a seasoned Global Sales & Marketing Director at SinceVision, a leading innovator in machine vision and sensor technology. With over a decade of industry experience, Jack has consistently driven significant growth and established strong partnerships. Currently, Jack is spearheading SinceVision's global expansion efforts, successfully entering the SEA market. 

In his previous role, Jack successfully expanded SinceVision's footprint in the Chinese market, increasing sales from 34 million RMB to an impressive 200 million RMB. His strategic vision and negotiation skills were instrumental in securing partnerships with industry giants like CATL, BYD, and Gotion.

Sincevision, a leading manufacturer of cutting-edge sensor technology, empowers manufacturers worldwide to achieve unparalleled quality control and precision in their production lines.  Our innovative solutions like high-speed cameras, 3D laser profilers, and laser displacement sensors are designed to address the specific needs of the modern manufacturing landscape.

Jelte Ansgar Wingender

CEO Founders Lair & China Country Partner Beijing for German Accelerator

Jelte is the CEO and Co-founder of Founders Lair, a technology platform that supports over 20,000 startups from more than 130 countries worldwide with access to global resources like acceleration programs, investment opportunities, corporate POCs, and startup competitions.

Jelte is also the China Country Partner in Beijing for German Accelerator, where he spearheaded operations to bring German scale-up startups to China. Before this, Jelte was the APAC and China Director of Startup Grind, the largest independent startup community organization in the world. He was also the first foreign employee at the Chinese state-owned enterprise Innoway, where he developed the corporate innovation arm.
