如果把时间看作一位记录国家与社会发展的专题画家，深圳则被它用四十多年墨华勾勒出流畅轻盈又力透纸背的轮廓。作为对外开放的重要窗口，深圳深刻影响了我国乃至世界经济和社会的发展，而深圳的外事工作亦不断擦亮这扇窗——让窗内远眺的视野更清晰，让窗外透进的光线更明澈。

If time is regarded as a special painter recording the development of the country and society, Shenzhen has been drawn by it into a smooth, light and penetrating outline over 40 years. As an important window to the outside world, Shenzhen has profoundly influenced the economic and social development of China and even the world. Shenzhen’s foreign affairs work has continuously brightened this window to make the view inside the window clearer and the light outside the window brighter.

国际上普遍认为，国际化城市是指具有超群的政治、经济、科技、文化实力和相应的人口规模，并对全世界或大多数国家产生经济、政治、文化影响的国际一流都市。综合国际学术界观点，国际化城市的特点一般包含五个维度：一是雄厚的综合实力，二是强大的辐射力影响力，三是先进的城市功能，四是国际化的人口结构，五是国际化的制度和管理。结合深圳实际，我们一直在探索构建客观、科学、全面的评价指标体系，用以指导我市国际化城市建设。

It is widely believed in the international community that international city refers to a world-class city which boasts superior political, economic, technical and cultural strengths and population size, and produces economic, political and cultural influences on the world or most countries. From the perspective of international academic circles, the characteristics of international city generally include the following five dimensions: strong comprehensive strength; strong radiation influence; advanced urban functions; international population structure; international system and management. Based on the reality of Shenzhen, we have been exploring the construction of an objective, scientific and comprehensive evaluation index system to guide the building of Shenzhen as an international city.

时间的笔触描摹历史与记忆。本次展览回溯梳理了近年来深圳国际化软硬件建设、对外交往合作及国际交流等方面的重要事件与瞬间，以方便市民朋友和中外嘉宾对深圳的国际化城市建设历程有进一步了解。

The brush stroke of time depicts history and memory. This exhibition reviews the important events and moments of Shenzhen’s international software and hardware construction, foreign cooperation and international exchanges so as to facilitate citizens, domestic and foreign guests to have a better understanding on the building of Shenzhen as an international city.

未来亦因为时间的每一次落笔被勾勒得更加清晰。我们从过往经历中凝练智慧，在甲辰龙年，以云霓之望摹绘灿然一新的美景。

The future is outlined more clearly with every stroke of time. We summarize our wisdom from the past experiences, painting a brilliant new beautiful landscape in the Loong Year with great ambition.

过去的笔触已然落下，未来的轮廓还未完成，时间的画笔在当下更显珍贵。在展览最后的共同创作互动区域，我们期待每一位观众用自己的方式留下体悟，慷慨共享你们的新视角、新观点、新创意。

The brush stroke of the past has ended, but the outline of the future has not yet been completed. The brush stroke of time is more precious at present. In the co-creation and interaction area, we expect all of you to leave your understandings and share your new perspectives, viewpoints and creative ideas.

时光荏苒，往昔流金。我们倾情描摹深圳国际化城市建设的时昔之廓，以笃实勤恳的每一秒当下，静待深圳这扇明窗照进更旖旎的一川风月。

Time flies. We will try our best to depict the outline of bygone times for the building of Shenzhen as an international city, and await for the bright window of Shenzhen to create a more beautiful landscape through our hard work.
