活动摘要

新加坡在多年前就已经踏上了“智慧国家”建设的道路。通过运用技术的力量，使人们的生活变得富有意义且充实。不同于以往其他的国家层面的IT总规划中、政府扮演着主导性角色，新加坡“智慧国家”总计划倾向于由个人、企业和政府的共同参与和创造。它勾勒了一个美好的未来：个人和企业被赋予更多获取数据的权限、然后通过共享创新理念和解决方案来获得全民更大的参与度，且政府运用技术从而更好地服务于公民。

本次演讲将会涉及新加坡建设智慧国家生态系统的一些战略，和一些目前已取得的成绩，以及对外国企业而言的一些潜在机遇。

Outline

Singapore has embarked on its journey to be a ‘Smart Nation’, where people are empowered by technology to lead meaningful and fulfilled lives. Unlike previous national level IT master plans which placed the Government in the driver seat, the Smart Nation master plan acknowledges the need for co-creation and the participation of individual citizens, private companies and government agencies. It envisions a future where people and businesses are empowered through increased access to data, more participatory through the contribution of innovative ideas and solutions, and also a more anticipatory government that uses technology to better serve citizens.

This sharing will touch on the initiatives in place to develop a conducive ‘Smart Nation’ ecosystem, some key achievements to date, and also potential opportunities for foreign technology firms.

Calvin Chan博士

Chan博士是新加坡国立大学信息系统博士，新跃大学研究生办公室主任和第三届董事会成员，新加坡标准委员会下属的白银工业标准委员会技术委员会主席。他曾在新加坡信息通信发展管理局（专项负责新加坡“智慧国家”计划的部门）任职，负责总体规划、战略规划及项目管理工作。

Guest Speaker

Dr. Chan received his PhD in Information Systems from the National University of Singapore. He is the Director in the Office of Graduate Studies at SIM University (UniSIM), a Board Member of the Council for Third Age, and Chairman of the Technical Committee for Technology in the Silver Industry Standards Committee under the Singapore Standards Council. Prior to joining UniSIM, Calvin was with Singapore’s Infocomm Development Authority working on Master Planning, Strategic Planning, as well as Programme and Project Management.
